Box Score - let Gesell, Gabe and Uthoff do their thing

Gesell had a good line when most didnt. I think Gabe can now play against about anybody. Uthoff still played pretty well rebounding and scoring.

Lets see if Gesell can get to about 30 minutes and let him do his thing. When gesell drives jok/uthoff etc need to move to open spots and be ready to shoot.

White will be there most games.

What year is Dickerson? Maybe we need him to get 5-10 minutes just to get some penetration to bend the opponents defense. he needs experience.

I would really like to see Jok take more players off the catch and drive to the hoop because he shows an explosive first step. Would love to see him slam on a few defenders.

Agree with UIhawk82, what the he** was Fran doing in the 2nd half with Gesell on the bench for
most of the time, when IOWA needed his spark and instead, Fran lets AC fumble, bumble and not
score a point, as MSU pulled even, then pulled away?? Makes NO sense

I like the idea of Mike logging more minutes way more than your last idea to have Clemmons shoot more.

Gesell has a good line once every eight games. Clemmons every nine.

Gesell is a drive into the lane put up a shot to be easily swatted away. Clemmons is a bouncing the ball off his foot with his ping-pong paddle hands machine. Turnover or guaranteed blocked shot? No difference.

Clemmons can play better D.

Neither one can shoot.

I say play whoever is hot. And for Iowa "hot" might last three minutes. I guess Gesell should be in at the end of games to limit turnovers. Just give him the Dickerson Dogma: don't shoot after driving into the lane.

Aaron White seems to be Aaron The Translucent against teams that play good half-court defense.
Which means most good teams can stop/limit his garbage baskets and driving lanes. He's really a non-factor in half-court games against top quality teams. So much for making a huge leap because of a change to the 4-spot.

Long way to say that Sir Gabe and Uth are better players and more important to the team.

That's pretty much it. Unfortunately, that was well said DDT
