Bowl game tickets question

So im saving up money to go wherever the Hawks go this year, and I hoping for the Rose Bowl at the very least. looking online, The Rose Bowl is already almost sold out, and the Fiesta Bowl is selling tickets fast too. am I correct in assuming that many people buy these bowl game tickets way in advance, and then sell them to the teams fans when we know who is going there? I am just making sure, because I really dont wanna miss out. What have people done in the past in regards to bowl game tickets? Where should I look for tickets if Iowa is selected to the Rose/Fiesta Bowl? Im hoping Iowa wins out of course, but I just want to be prepared if Iowa goes to Pasadena

Tickets will be available through the U of I once pairings are set BUT they will probably sell out in minutes this year. Otherwise gotta stubhub it and get gouged.

These bowl people require schools to buy "x" number of tickets and charge us for them if we don't fulfill our quota. They damn well better provide enough for teams that will play in their bowl games when the demand is high. Iowa athletic department should take are of their own fans, and not just the big donors.

If the demand is that high after a school sells their allotment they can request additional tickets. However it is up to the bowl if they honor that request to meet the demand of the school. So Iowa has nothing to do with not being able to meet the demand and taking care of their "own" fans. As it should be the current season ticket holders and the donors that pay thousands for the suites will get first priority before the general public to buy bowl game tickets.
