The PSUs and Minnys have already lost out so they are coming out guns a blazing.
A poster in the "Is it safe to come back yet" thread said why are the top stars showing the grind why the lesser team's players dont seem to be.
Well part of it I think is in the title of this thread, these teams are playing loose, they are shooting it from 24 ft and not thinking about getting pulled, they are fighting and scrapping. They are hustling maybe even harder than the top dogs.
The other idea is regression toward the mean as some teams with young players or chemistry issues early on are finding their stride and playing better while it is hard to stay at such a high level like the hawks were at.
Thirdly, are the hawks and some other top dogs starting to play tight.
I hate to say it but I sense just a little bit of standing around on offense waiting for Uhtoff or Jok to hit the shot, sort of like Marble taking all the big shots in 2014. But I think this team will play well after this rest period.
Look at Texas Tech that just beat its third top 25 team in a row for first time ever plus it helps when the refs let you run with the ball for 10 steps.
