Bohnenkamp: 5 Takeaways Iowa-Truman St.

Any word on Peyton Sandfort's night? He was coming on rapidly late last right along with TP and will get a ton of looks with no more JBo.

Not many takeaways from beating a solid D2 program. The bigger story is the Hawks didn't struggle after the first 10 minutes.

Maybe 3 point D is a mild concern.

Truman did OK on the boards all things considered.

So maybe those two issues might still be a concern.

Truman was a very young team.

Wonder when Horner will move up. Kirksville wouldn't be a bad place to raise a family.

Payton had a solid game, made some three's, drove it nicely to the hole for some driving shots over the shorter guards. This team is very hungry and VERY athletic. Everyone except the centers can rebound and start the offense. Big O looked OK but he will be a situational player brought into play bigger posts. Rebraca will start, he looks way better at about everything than last year. Bowen looks very slender and will have to hit the weights during the off-season. Don't expect much at the center position after Rebraca. Mulvey looked just as slow as last year. I don't see him even being a factor this year. Conner looked great had 4 strait 3's that pushed the lead out early in a scrappy first 10 minutes. Fan's will have a new fav., Chris Kingsbury's kid Carter is a pudgy kid that looks like he should be a wrestler but has a crazy 3-point shot. Very quick and deadly, don't know how he can play D though. Definitely will be the new Ash. Dix looks road ready already. Coach's son Dante Eldridge looked very quick. He might find playing time. This will be a very fun team to watch.

Never understood the Mulvey offer. Fran has been trending smaller and more athletic at the five. And except for the O his bigs can play multiple positions.. He has to sell me. He's well behind Big O at this point.
