Bohannon Building Up to Iowa Career with Strong Senior Season

Happy to hear about Jordan... But what about Connor?

Did these 2 guard each other? How'd the matchup go?

Really happy for Jordan. Coached his brothers Zack and Matt in youth football. Jason was usually around and Jordan, or little bo as I called him, was usually tagging along. Good bunch of kids. Zack (I called him superstar, because he wouldn't tackle anyone on defense) and Matt were exceptional QB's (Jason and Jordan probably would have been also) and probably would have had as much success on the gridiron as they have on the basketball court, but basketball was where their passion was. I think he'll have a great carreer at Iowa. I think he's tougher than his older brothers and his dad, lol.

I'm excited about Jordan... I think he may lack athleticism but believe his shooting ability can make up for that and have a positive impact on his teammates and the spacing of the floor.

Can you imagine how wide open our offense would be if Mike were an actual threat from 3? A PG who can actually shoot the ball is something Fran has yet to have on the roster.

Imagine a lineup of Uhl, Jones, Jok, Bohannon, and another shooter like Fleming or Ellingson. I know Ellingson shot bad the last half of this year but unless he's a complete head case like Oglesby he will make some shots. Jones shoots like Uthoff but has no hesitation. Just him and Jok alone will shoot more 3's than the whole team did this year.

Yep, too bad Uthoff didn't have another year to play. A good shooting pg along with Jok & Utah would be an awesome combo!

I'm not banking on getting much from Jones next year. He had surgery around the beginning of Dec. I can't imagine that he will be healed fully enough to be game ready before the season. Heck we will be lucky if he is ready by conference play.

Point taken though. I just hope Bohannon is big enough and has good enough handles to be effective. I think he will be more than capable as a shooter, but we need someone to defend and run the offense as well.

I always thought the timetable of 1 year included the time it takes to get back to game speed. Maybe not though. I heard Fran say he will be practicing in a few months so that's a good sign. The guy shoots over 40% from 3 with poor shot selection. Quick release and deep range.

Kenyon Murry says he already has the handles and the shot to play in the Big 10. He just needs to get bigger. He's a high school coach who coached against him I believe.

Poor shot selection, bad defense and I'm not sure how good of a rebounder he is... All these lead me to question how big of a value he will be to the team if and when he returns.

Obviously he will hit some shots that offset many of the negatives but I still wonder about the basketball IQ, strength and toughness.

I would take a guy who has poor shot selection and shoots 40% from 3 over a guy who has really good shot selection and shoots 40% from 3. When you shoot the high a percentage, the more shots you take, the better. Supposedly he's a really good rebounder too.

Can't have enough shooters. Does he have a little Brody Boyd type of game then? I haven't seen him play just a few highlight AAU videos. Is he like a pg that scores or is he more of a sg in a pgs body?
