Bluder's Bunch knock off #9 PSU

There aren't any freebies in the B1G, men or women. It was a hell of a game, and the women held on to win it by being tough. Freshman Ally Disterhoft scored 24 points, missing only one shot from field or FT line (3/3 threes). Sam Logic nails her second triple double of the season in 40 minutes.
 
First time I've watched the women this year. Disterhoff and Logic were amazing, but every Hawkeye had a key contribution. Freshman Disterhoff absolutely draining two late free throws in an enemy gym was SO refreshing after watching the Hawk men brick out free-throw after free-throw - and at home even.

And congratulations to Lisa Bluder who tied becoming the all-time leader in victories by an Iowa women's coach - what a great win to get it with.
 
I had the chance to watch Disterhoff often in high school. I did not think she would be playing at this level so quickly. Glad to see i was wrong.
 
Fun game to watch last night. The women's team has a floor general: Sam Logic.

Well, it was either the girls game or the Olympics.....I chose the bball game....great finish and a great win...
 
Bluder has done a pretty good job with recruiting. She has another solid class signed for next season that features another top 100 player. That sustained success is what we want to see from the mens team.

Don't want to start a firestorm, but I have noticed that the lone player of color on the women's team, Theeaira Taylor, is a senior. There is only one coach of color, Lacy Goldwire, and this is her first year.

Does it matter? I don't know.
Why am I reluctant to even mention it?

Not sure what that has to do with anything, with or without color recruits Bluders classes have been pretty good.
