Awesome experience! It was first Big Ten road game I have attended since 2008, and I had a blast. We went out both nights in downtown Bloomington and there were Hawkeyes EVERYWHERE!!!

Couple of observations---

-Stopped at Lucas Oil Stadium on the way. Unbelievable facility. When we visited the gift shop, a worker there saw our Iowa gear and said "we love Iowa football players here" and proceeded to rattle off Bob, DC, Angerer, King, Caldwell, etc. She told me that Bob Sanders, not Peyton Manning, is the heart and soul of their team. Kind of cool to hear that from a Colts fan!

-Indiana hates Purdue, they really don't care about anyone else, including their own team. (I actually saw some shirts that said "Purdouche" and I will be copying them for our first game with our rival, Purdue, next year!:))

-Indiana celebrates first downs like most schools celebrate touchdowns. ANNOYING AS HELL!!!

-There is a bar in downtown Bloomington called "KOK's." That's right, a bar in Indiana named after Ken O'Keefe! We drank beer out of water bottles! Good times.

-There are some hot chicks on the IU Women's Field Hockey team. I will leave it at that. ;):D

-Their stadium is nice, but it is sad how little fan support there is

-Bill Lynch is an absolute psycho! I was on the 40 yard line on the IU side, and after every penalty I found myself looking for Lynch on the sideline to blow another gasket

Overall, my friends and I had a GREAT trip and a GREAT experience in Bloomington. How about anyone else that went?

Hah, yeah. They were giving away water bottles at the door, then you could fill it with whatever you wanted. Good stuff!
