Black and Gold Stripes at the Rose Bowl

The black and gold stripes have really set our fan base out from other schools, and has even inspired some copy cats (i.e. Illinois & Oklahoma).

This looked really cool at the Big Ten Championship game and I was wondering if there has there been any discussion about doing this at the Rose Bowl?
I realize that many do not know where their tickets are or have yet to purchase them, but I think this would give our fan base quite a bit of street cred if we were able to pull this off in front of another national audience.

I don't think we should have white ones because people might confuse us with Missouri and I definitely don't want blue because Rudock sucks. I guess that just leaves red.

A sea of gold is the way to go. It's bold, bright, unmistakable.

The way the sections were numbered in Indy kind of threw off the striped effect. I say we go the Swarm of Gold look. I really want Iowa to take over the Rose Bowl in gold and it will also stand out on TV and show the nation how we support our Hawkeyes.

I must say that watching the title game on tv it would have looked better if Iowa fans all wore gold. It would have stood out much more. Sometimes it was hard to tell between the green and the black, both darker colors. I think all gold would have really highlighted easily on tv.

I was there, and the striping at Indy didn't work at all. Everyone should wear gold if possible, as that would stand out the best, but black or gold who really cares. Just don't wear red or white. It's not rocket science.
