Well, reading some posts people are still talking about past. Nothing we can do to change UW game tough lose for sure, but with a win on Saturday Iowa is right back in the race and with a lose we are looking at 7-5.

This is probably the biggest game for the program since the 08 PSU game and maybe the biggest game in KF era. So let's move on and hope coaching staff has cleaned up mistakes and has team ready for a really tough team on Saturday.

Go Hawks

I agree it's the biggest game in KF era cause it gives us a realistic chance at B10 title and Roses. Lose and it's another Outback bowl. Yes this is bigger than PSU though that game changed things this is huge.

100% correct big game, so much left to play for. 1 loss in the big ten was pretty much a given anyway. Lets go out there support the Hawks and win out.
The rest will take care of itself.
Blackout this saturday!

Big games require "big-time" players to make "big-time" plays! I will be looking for Clayborn, Ballard, Sash, Stanzi, DJK and company to step it up and be the difference makers in this game.

Sure, it's a big game, but biggest of the KF era!?

I'd argue it's not even close to entering the Horseshoe against the 4 time defending Big Ten champions in late November, with the winner taking the Rose Bowl and the Big Ten title. That's a BIG game.

If we get to November 20th with one loss, and Wisconsin has dropped another one, that will be a BIG game.

Not even close when we lost last year really did not effect us still went to BCS. The game on Saturday is one that an entire season is riding with a win we are in the race with a lose we are looking at 7-5 and second tier bowl.

Not even close? Are you kidding me? We win that game, and we would have won the conference, and gone to the Rose bowl! I won't argue that this game is a big game for our team, but all it does it keep BCS "hopes" alive. The conference championship game was far more important.

Are you kidding me? Not even close? Most important game under KF. From a program stand point we came into season top 10 we lose Saturday and we are looking at 7-5. With a win still a chance for top 10 finish. This is something KF has not been good at having high expectations and if Iowa wants to be a top 15 program every year have to win when expected and we have not done that yet under KF.

this is not the biggest game ever in KF era. Getting the BCS monkey off of our back last year in the Orange Bowl, with a QB that hadn't had the started in well over 2 months, now that was much more important than a regular season game with 4 games left to play no matter the result tomorrow (and ten wins still possible!!).

I mean is it really the end of the world if we lose 21-20 or <3? NO!!! Sure there was high expectations, but reality and history should have been screaming from deep within your conscience about how Iowa is typically an 8-4 team.

Collectively hike up your skirts, because if you cannot accept defeat then you are in for a bad rest of the season. How do you enjoy any of the games if you are going to be over reactive to everything?

as cliche as it sounds, every game is the biggest game of the season because Iowa has to win out to have a prayer at a BCS bowl this year.

I really think that MSU loses again after us(@PSU after their freshman has had a chance to get his legs), and Wisky loses @ Michigan or against NU.

Every game the rest of the way is the biggest of the year, starting today with MSU. As to where this game fits in the all-time scheme of things? Does it really matter? There will be plenty of time to assess that when the season is over. Right now the only thing that matters is for the Hawkeyes to play like Iowa with a chip on its shoulder from the opening whistle to the final gun. (Gee, that'd make nice lyrics for a fight song... :)

I'm 10,000 miles away, but I hope the 70,585 in Kinnick will break all noise records in this one, and then do it again for the Buckeyes on Nov. 20. And I'll be adding my voice to that one.

So the season begins today. And I like the Hawks to make it a happy one.

I think this is a big one as far as keeping our recruiting on track. If we dont get a good bowl then we take a step back. I think with how highly people talked about the hawks at the beginning of the year we really need to finish strong. Four losses in a season isnt always a bad season but I think for us this year four losses would be a bad season. This is a big game for KF and co.
