And your 2017 nominees are:
1) The Offensive Line: Yes we lost 2 seniors, but we're just not good. Even the guys that are lauded as next level players, outside of the Ohio State game, are getting turtled, blown backwards, and missing assignments. Was the Ohio State success due to having 2 guys on the line, be from Ohio, that wanted to prove something to tOSU. We flew off the ball and took the fight to them? I didn't see this before or haven't seen since.
2) The Drops: Oh so many....and all seemingly at the worst time possible, it just becomes contagious. So many guys are turning into 50/50 guys. Flip a coin if they're going to catch it.
3) The Special Teams: Combined, the worst punt teams in all of college football. Both sides. The losses in field position have been a killer. Ron Coluzzi...where are you?
4) The Scheme: The aberration that was tOSU, showed imagination. Other than that, its been 10 games of opposing defenses doing the same thing, loading the box, confusing our O-line on whose coming and where they are coming from. We have no answer. I would think, some where, at some time, there's been another team that's faced this same situation that has found a way to make teams pay. Or is this the by product of #1, #2, and/or #3 above.
