BiggerTen.com Week Five Power Poll

Wait.. So Deace thinks Minnesota is better than Purdue after the gophers just made themselves look worse than my high school team(and that is saying something)?? Or am I reading that wrong?

I'm surprised everyone still thinks so much Nebraska and and so little of NW but I haven't heard Persa's status. Otherwise I pretty much agree and I like the transparency.

He is still a believer in their defense at this point.

It is a solid defense but being they can't establish a run game or get solid qb play, they are not a top 5 Big Ten team. I watched almost all of that Indiana game and they had some opportunites out there vs PSU.

"Iowa would stomp them."

Would they? Perhaps. Considering how Iowa has beaten OSU something like six or seven times in the last 50 or 60 years, I would not make such a blanket statement.

If someone got to see Iowa beat OSU 33-7, that is one of the rare instances and might be the only instance when Iowa beat OSU handily.

OSU OWNS Iowa, plain and simple. Regardless whether they are ranked or not, it seems OSU could put their second and third stringers the entier game and they would play like all americans. On the other hand, Iowa typically does not play very well against OSU, regardless of Iowa's ranking.

Until that changes and Iowa begins to beat OSU regularly, I would never make the statement, "Iowa would stomp them." Just does not and has not happened in Iowa's history.

That is one team I do not want to play and am glad they are off our schedule. You can typically pencil in an automatic loss at the beginning of the season if Iowa plays OSU.

The Iowa/OSU series is one of the most lopsided series in college football.
