Big10 Bracket Time ... who you got?

no way UNL beats UMD tonight, so here is your 2015 B1G MBBT bracket ...

I got mostly chalk:
3/11: PSU over UNL, Minn over RU
3/12: Illini over Mich, Iowa over PSU, NW over IU (upset), OSU over Minn
3/13: Wisc over Illini, Iowa over Purdue, UMD over NW, MSU over OSU
3/14: Wisc over Iowa (hope I'm wrong here), UMD over MSU
3/15: Wisc over UMD (Wisc gets a #1 seed in NCAA)
 
I really hope we get past the first round against the PSU/Nebbie winner, and I think we will. I would love to see the Iowa/Purdue game. Two pretty darn good teams; they were lucky AW did not play much in our previous meeting and the way he is playing now, they are going to get a lesson. Of course, if we could win that one, we run into WI, which is fine with me...everything to gain and nothing to lose.
 
Not since 2007 (8 tournaments ago) has a 1 seed played a 2 seed in the title game, although from 2004 to 2007 it happened every single year. So I'd like to think upsets will happen...

Its just hard to imagine Wisconsin not winning it though. They're just too damn good. Therefore since 90% of people are going to pick the Badgers to win, I'm going to go all out homer route and post my wettest dream bracket results for no reason at all. AARON WHITE WONT LET US LOSE

13 PSU >12 Nebby
5 Iowa > 4 Purdue
3 MSU > 2 Mary

Everything else I think is chalk. The top half of the league pulled away from the bottom half and Wiscy is clear-cut above rest, obviously.
 
I think the bottom half of the bracket could get interesting. Other than Rutgers and Northwestern, any other team has the talent to make a run. I'll say IU beats Maryland, but MSU comes out of it. Wisc over MSU in final.
 
Somehow, I see Michigan State weaseling its way to the B1G final against Wisconsin.
I'm not sold on Maryland and feel that they could be eliminated in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament.

I can't imagine Wisconsin not making the final, so Iowa should go 1-1 in the B1G tournament, and would love a 3rd shot against Wisconsin.

You mean 2-1.
Gotta avoid the bad loss in that first game to at least maintain a 7 seed.
 
I think Wisconsin will crush the Ohio State/Maryland winner in the championship. If Iowa somehow manages to beat Wisconsin then I think Iowa wins it by about 7.

Edit - Still hoping Illinois gets crazy hot from 3 and combines this with playing in Chicago to beat Wisconsin on Friday.

The only way things could get better than this bracket is if we were able to avenge the OOC losses in the NCAA by playing and beating Texas, UNI and ISU.

It would not be shocking to me if that happened. Just like it wouldn't be shocking to see Michigan beat Illinois. The Noise are going to have to overcome coaching shortcomings vs. Mich and/or vs. Wiscy.

If Iowa isn't going to win it, then please, anyone but Maryland.

I don't want to hear or read even one time about a mid-level ACC team winning a Big10 championship for a decade.

If Illinois beats Wisconsin they will doom us against Purdue. No way a path gets cleared for us if we are still in it. That's not how iowa basketball works.

I remember the year Illinois finished last in the conference and lost in the BTT championship game...4th game in 4 days. The tournament was in Chicago that year as well so...
 
Maryland looked surprisingly bad against Nebraska the other night. Its just one game obviously, but with the exception of Wisconsin, a lot of the big ten is pretty even....with Rutgers on the far bottom.

I would expect there to be some shocking results...what scares me the most is I think Penn State or Nebraska over Iowa is the most shocking result available right now. I don't really think Minnesota over Ohio State is that big of an upset for some reason. Ohio State has been very flaky this year.

Illinois over Wisconsin isn't impossible...the last time they played Rice was still coming off his injury. Like I've said before, Wisconsin is beatable if they're missing their 3's. Loss to Rutgers they shot 24%, loss to Maryland they shot 27%. It just doesnt happen often at all
