Big Ten Recruiting: Iowa class on shaky ground - CBSSports.com

From article:

DB Delano Hill of Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech, a four-star prospect (according to Rivals.com) who committed to the Hawkeyes in April, told HawkeyeReport.com he will visit Pittsburgh before making a final decision. This comes on the heels of four-star defensive end David Kenney switching his commitment from Iowa to Indiana last month.

However, it appears he doesn't like the way Iowa is doing things on the field this season.

That last sentence is speculation on the author's part. When he decommits I'll be concerned (for about 1 second) and then move on. Right now he is still scheduled to be a hawk.

I hope we don't lose this kid. It's easy to say "it's just one player", but every recruit is a brick in the wall. Each one you lose weakens the foundation.. I don't want to see ANY decommits. It's not like we don't need the talent.

I don't want to see any decommits either, but what is me worrying about it going to do? I can't help how the team plays, I can't help how they recruit, and I can't change how a kid feels about the program, well not without it being illegal. So worrying about is pointless. Do I hope he comes to Iowa, heck yeah, I think he'll be a good player, but if he doesn't I'll move on and still cheer for the kids that want to be hawkeyes and hope they help turn the program around.

besides if its so shaky why is it 2 of Illinois commits came to Iowa for a visit?

Illinois commitments... Not O$U, Alabama or Oregon commitments mind you they are ILLINOIS commits. It is shaky because we are obviously sucking right now... it is understandable for a kid to keep his options open and go somewhere a little less uncertain.

When the fans boo their own team that effects how you effect recruits. Throwing things at your team is how you effect recruits. It is BS when people say they can't effect a recruits decision. Do we get that high quality class without having a crowd of bball fans chanting "come to Iowa"? I doubt we get them all.

If they can punt the ball, throw the ball, catch the ball, or rush the passer......we'll take'm.;)

You have completely missed the point. I do not do those things. Yes they affect recruiting but honestly Iowa will still get recruits despite that. The point is, is there anything I can do to change David Kenney or Delano Hill's mind. No there isn't. Me thinking about it or being concerned about it has nothing to do with their decision. I can not will them to come to Iowa by using the jeda mind trick. Not how it works.

And for your bolded part, it didn't work with Cezar, and honestly if that is a reason to come to a certain school, that is dumb.

Spearman is a 5.7 grade 3* just shy of being a 5.8 4* LB
Mosely is a 5.7 grade 3* just shy of being a 5.8 4* S
these kids are not your run of the mill recruits

We're doing poorly this year because the recruiting classes that are now on the field were sub-par. If we lose Hill after we just lost Kenney, we have an issue. If you ask me, these decommits are directly related to our play this year, and that's why this type of season can not be allowed to happen and shouldn't be tolerated by fans or the program.

Kenney's DAD was hired this spring by Indiana, don't you think that played apart in this kids deciscion to go to Indiana, and Wisconcin lost a 4* recruit to Indiana,

A little less uncertain =/= Pitt.
