Depends on who wins the conference, I think Burke right now but Oladipo is certainly a good choice too, maybe Keith Appling gets in the discussion if the Spartans continue their hot streak.

The best player doesn't always win, so I can't vote, it would be Burke though. He was the best freshman last year and split the vote with Zeller.

Burke will probably win it, but I'd take Oladipo. That guy is a poor man's LeBron. Can play 1-4 defensively (and lock down anybody at those positions), scores extremely efficiently and is a good rebounder.

His defense is the big thing. I think Craft's defense is overrated because he's allowed to foul all the time, but even if that weren't the case, I'd still take Oladipo's defense. Quite a few guys are excellent on-ball defenders that make the game a living hell for his man. But Oladipo makes it a living hell for everybody trying to get his man the ball in the first place, and call also lock down on the ball.
