Big Ten Bowl thread

It wouldn't shock me if the B1G didn't win any bowl games. Common sense tells me that it would be very difficult for this to happen, but I'm not dismissing it happening.

Things looking up a bit. MSU and Nebraska winning sure didn't hurt. Hopefully OSU can get a third win. For all the SEC bragging both the Wisconsin and Iowa efforts showed that the difference isn't as great as people want to make out.

I think that Oklahoma showed this to be true, also. While the $EC is the best conference, parity is showing us that anything can happen in any game.

MSU win was legit, but you realize Georgia had nearly 12 players (including their top ten NFL QB) out with injury. Not a very impressive victory.

I have a feeling that after the SEC goes 0-2 in BCS games that there will be sufficient evidence to prove that the "SEC is the best conference" argument is much easier to dispute then it has been in the past and may have exposed the myth of the SEC being all powerful. They were incredibly hot, but the fact is that the SEC has great teams and bad teams just like every other conference, however to say that they are "in a league of their own" is crap.

I truly wasn't overly impressed with any SEC team this bowl season. The beauty of it is when all other teams are belittled by the media in comparison to the almighty SEC it makes their bowl performance this year look ugly.

Mississippi beats GT by 7
Mississippi State blows out Rice
A&M squeaks by Duke
Georgia Loses to Nebby
LSU wins beats Iowa by 7
South Carolina beats Wiscy by 10
Alabama gets Beat by Oklahoma

With Missouri, Vandy, and Auburn left to play. They could end up 5-5 with 2 BCS losses and no really big wins. As far as I'm concerned I think they definitely took a hit and find themselves back in the real world.

I pretty much agree with you. While the $EC may be the best, I don't think that every team in that conference is head and shoulders better than ever team in the other leagues. They may have the best talent overall, but there is plenty of talent spread throughout other leagues. Alabama has had a nice run, but they have been beatable.

I don't think that they deserved to have, what was it, 7 or 8 teams in the top 25 this year, and I wouldn't mind seeing them go 5-5 as you have said.
