Big Ten Blog ranks JVB #2 QB

in before ok4p expresses faux outrage that kain coulter is #8, followed by gullible saps telling him to gtfo 'cause he's a stupid NW troll

my take on this list is that there are 3 levels...level 1) denard robinson - best qb in b1g. he has big play feet and arm and if he can become more consistent throwing he has rg3 type ability...level 2) jvb - prostyle qb with huge arm that if he can put together a higher completion percentage and just average road games he will have a huge yr...level 3) everyone else - lots of flawed and inexperience qbs that will really have to show something. martinez struggles throwing yet miller makes him look like drew brees. scheelhase has all the ability but has really taken steps backwards since his frosh yr. colter is unproven for a full yr along with terbush. then the rest are unknowns in the b1g.

1-4.

At home JVB flashed signs of brilliance and was at least as good as Stanzi.

On the road, he was maybe as good as Christensen.

Sorry but it's just the way it was,

I would say that is some what accurate. Though I think JVB is still better on the road the Christensen was anywhere.

There will be a lot on JVB's shoulders this fall. Inexperience at RB, a receiving corps that has some growing up to do. Potential may be there, but lots of unknowns and the jury is still out on some guys.

Throw in a new offense, a defense that will be....err..flexible?

Possessions will be at a premium more than likely, as will advantageous field position with our D (just spit balling here).

I think JVB is going to have a great year, and there's no one else I'd rather have under center in this situation.

We're ranking the top 10 individual players at each spot and then offering team rankings a little later on. These rankings are based on past performance and potential for the 2012 season, placing a bit more emphasis on their track record to this point.

I'd say they failed to accomplish what they set out to do. If you're putting emphasis on track record Miller doesn't rank that high.

Among other issues with the list.

Miller and Gray are a bit higher ranked than I would have expected.

Maybe it is more of a prediction ranking than an as-they-stand-now ranking.
