Michigan punishes itself for breaking rules - ESPN

Anyone else shocked?

That's what I thought.

Is there a punishment in there somewhere? I missed it.
Unless you call firing staff that participated in off-season workouts, as coaches, when it turns out they had NO coaching background, a punishment.
Or cutting back 130 hrs of organized practice that nobody will monitor anyways.
They did promise to put themselves on double-secret probation for 2 years. Thats something, I guess.

If you're going to consider that cheating, you should probably not speed on your way to work tomorrow. That's essentially what Michigan did.

Not shocked. No real punishment there. But who knows? maybe the NCAA will dish up something when they get the case in August. Becasue that Mich is an elite program, they probably won't get any real punishment other then "bad boys, don't do it again".

Must really suck when your coach takes a once proud program, runs it into the ground and then can't even win with extra practice and training.
