Top half of the Big 10 (without fully understanding what everyone has coming in):

Wisconsin
Michigan State
Nebraska
Ohio State
Minnesota
Iowa
Michigan

Teams that could compete for top half:
Illinois
Indiana- Lots of attrition but they still have a few 4 star recruits. Not sure what is going on over there. They should be in the top half every year.

Long shots to be in the top half:
Maryland- I say this but I really haven't watched them play in a couple of years. However, this ain't the ACC. They will be subjected to entirely different kind of basketball.
NW- I think they have the right guy for the job, and a decent class coming in.
Penn State- They did some damage last year, and Newbill can play.
Purdue- Yes this may seem a little far fetched, but when you have a 7 footer who can play with experience, more things become possible.

Hopeless:
Rutgers- I haven't seen them play.......probably ever, but the program seems to be a dumpster fire.

Take Iowa out of the top half group now, and put Md in there. Terps return everyone important and have a top 5 class coming in...they will be in the top half. Iowa , Ill, IU will battle for the last tourney bid probably....and I do not like our chances...probably Ill. I see Iowa as around 9th next year.

I put Wisconsin at the top and Rutgers at the bottom. Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue and Penn State should be 10th through 13th. I think 2nd through 9th is up for grabs. I'll take a stab at it and say Iowa finishes 4th ahead of Ohio State, Nebraska, Maryland, Illinois and Minnesota...in no particular order. Michigan and Michigan State end up 2nd and 3rd...in that order.
