Wisconsin and MSU lose most starters in Big Ten next season. Believe Wisconsin loses 13 starters, not including early entries. There QB situation is a mess as well. Wisconsin actually went hard after Ruddock and they are not confident in their current QBs on roster, hence why they wanted Crist so bad.
Fortunately, they get benefit of an absolute mess of a division. OSU will be favorite but can't play in Big Ten championship because of bowl ban so Wisconsin will probably play in it going 4-4 in conference.

I don't follow recruiting very closely and didn't know that. How the heck didn't they get him? Why in the world would Crist go to Kansas if he could play at Wisconsin?

Crist would have went to Wisconsin if Paul Chryst (OC) would have not taken Pitt job. Crist will be playing for his original coach, Wiess.

Sounds like jealousy considering that BB's win percentage (.759 vs. .593) and final season ranking average have been superior over his career to KF's. Wisconsin is in a far better position for the future than we are. Iowa is becoming an afterthought in the national scene.
Wisconsin might be replacing a lot, but we are replacing 3/4ths of the d-line, our best safety, best wr, best offensive lineman and our defensive coordinator on a very mediocre team to begin with.

All I know is wisky has been to five rose bowls since we last went....outside of Minnesota does any other big.ten team have a longer drought going? Hell even Nebraska has been to a rose bowl more recently than us.
