As a die hard Hawk fan and a MU grad I would love to see this happen. I was there in the Doc Rivers era and enjoyed my 2 favorite teams playing each other.
Should be an interesting game. Duane Wade played at Marquette where he had a triple double against Kentucky to take them to the Final Four.....
Marquette had perhaps the most colorful coach in college basketball in Al McGuire. He led them to the National Championship over North Carolina in 1977, his last season. The day of the Championship game he rented a Harley and rode around the countryside looking at antique shops.....
He had more memorial phrases than Dick Vitale broadcasting with Billy Packer. This guy was an aircraft carrier he was so big. The time is you opponent now, Billy.....
Al was from Brooklyn and recruited off the schoolyards.....
