Best WR in the Big Ten

So I was curious as to who you guys think the best WR is in the B1G?

I am trying to not be biased here, but I still think McNutt takes the cake.

However, I have not paid much attention to other receivers in the B1G so I wouldn't really know if there is anyone else on his level.

I would even go as far as to say McNutt is one of the best WRs in the country.

I would say Justin Blackmon(OSU), the Sammy Watkins(Clemson), and Ryan Broyles are obviously some of the top WRs in the country, but how does McNutt compare to them?

Is McNutt on their level?

I'm just curious as to what you guys thing, because I have a hard time not being biased towards McNutt. He is definitely one of my favorite Hawkeyes.

I can't imagine any coach in america not wanting MM on their roster. Big, strong, lives to block, gets great seperation and makes the hard catches look easy with those huge hands. He'll someday be a posession receiver in the League. Glad he is on our side!:D

He is #12 in the country right now in yards/game and tied for #5 with 8 TDs. The Biletnikoff Award will vote for their ten finalists on November 9. It would be awesome to see him make that list, and if he can put up two more nice games, he really should.

Jenkins from Illanoy is better. Sorry to burst your guys' bubble. McNutt is easily second in B1G but Jenkins has first on lock as of now.

There isn't one WR in the Big Ten who's as good as McNutt right now. Posey would be up there if he weren't suspended, but McNutt is the best in the conference. He's not in the same class as Blackmon, Broyles, Woods, Floyd, etc. But he's at the top of the next tier.

Moye would be if PSU had more consistency at QB. I believe Moye is hurt anyway.....nevermind.

It's Jenkins or McNutt...you can throw both of them open...Jenkins may look more prototypical, but McNutt's hand fighting has improved, his hands are incredible and I wouldn't trade him

I agree with you. The thing keeping him out of that elite group is the occasional lack of concentration, i.e. drops.

How is he in run blocking?

Jenkins from Illinois has to be tops right now, but Illinois' offense has been losing steam, so there is a good chance Marvin catches up to him by the end of the season.. None of the receivers in the Big 10 are national standouts however.

Add Juron Criner to your list, also. He's been hurt quite a bit this season, but Thursday night he was healthy again and electric. Nick Toon at Wisky is also solid. IMO McNutt drops too many easy balls. I think this season he's averaged about a drop/game. I'm sure he's saved JVB as many if not more catches, but I wish he would stop dropping the ones that hit him on the 7.

I forgot about floyd. My high school played against him. He is really good. What would it take for McNutt to be at that next level? Just speed? His hands are top notch even if he does have the occasional drop from lack of concentration.

I would go with McNutt, Jenkins, and Moye. Jenkins talks and gets shut out because of it. Moye doesn't have the QB to showcase him. That leaves McNutt as #1 in my book in the B1G.

Jenkins has over 20 more catches and 200 more yards than McNutt. True, he's played in one more game, but I think the numbers still speak for themselves.

jenkins said he was the best and then osu cbs basically said he was just good not great. i believe osu won that battle. he did little to them.
