Sam Brincks, the soph walk-on from Carrol-Kuemper. Played quite a few downs in the first game to keep people fresh and played really solid and had a pass deflection, and spelled Maj. Nelson in this game and had another pass deflection. Not a big pass rusher, but has a good sense of when to get his hands up......

LeGrand for me on offense. Total unknown last year, to coming on to get the backup C spot. KF said that he had really come on the last 2-3 weeks and boy he wasn't kidding. Played a great game against a NFL level tackle in Tucker.

On defense it has to be Anthony Nelson. Had heard the staff raving about him since last spring, but he has been very impressive. I don't think anyone saw (outside of Morgan probably) that kind of upside when they signed him from Waukee and he was 6'7 and 220 lbs. Very impressive going from 220 to 250 lbs in one year and keeping or gaining explosiveness off the ball at the same time.
