Meanwhile a few hundred miles south of IC, bielema fields an aggressive competitive team loaded with talent and curb stomps a top 10 team, shutting out ole miss for another win in the SEC west.

He's putting together a nice program with a good win vs LSU last week and has a good shot at taking down a good Missouri team next week...

Optimism reigns in Fayetteville, and so does a clean program..bielema is running an "old school iowa style" offense in the SEC and it's working.

Bring him home. He has to be the next guy in....

I know he has some detractors, but a few years of maturity might iron out those rough edges.

I truly believed when he left Wisconsin for Arkansas, that he was planning for the future. I think he wants to coach at Iowa and knew he had to get away from Wisconsin to make a less dramatic transfer to Iowa City.

I hope he talked to Barta, otherwise he and the fans are the only ones thinking this.

He left Wisconsin cause he wanted to coach in the SEC. Going back to Iowa does not help him with that goal.

I understand the appeal of the SEC, the SEC west is awesome and I love watching their games. However I don't ultimately see why arkansas is a better job in the future for BB than iowa. Trying to beat Alabama, auburn, LSU etc every year is not the easiest path to the playoff. Winning the Big ten by beating their biggest teams is a much easier path to the playoffs.

The man is in his 40s (I think?). If his "rough edges" aren't ironed out by now, they probably never will be. Most 40-somethings don't have a personality change. Not saying I don't want him as a coach, just saying I wouldn't expect him to change much.

Just my $0.02

They have taken every SEC team in the conference to the wall this year...he's turned that program around in a few years and their future is very, very bright.

He left Wisconsin for money period...not only for him but his staff. He was tired of losing staff because Wisky wouldn't pay them. I think Alvarez is a cheap *** and Bert called him out and Bert also said I didn't need you to do what I did at Wisky...watch I'll show you.

Kudos to him for having some balls and getting paid. We want that guy to come back home...I'd love to see him on our sideline. Although, geez, they may need to reinforce the sideline...he needs to back away from the training table a bit.

He's 9-14 at Arkansas. He's won 2 conference games in 2 years.
Nothing to be thrilled about.

Yesterdays game was impressive, though.

Do you not see the trend? They have talent and are getting it in place and getting better and better in the best conference in football. When did Iowa last beat a ranked team?

I disagree totally, I know a ton of men who are completely different people in their 50's than they were in their 30's and 40's.

Besides I'm not convinced all this stuff about BB is even that accurate. I think stories about him being shady are approaching urban myth at this point. I've heard nothing but great things about him at arkansas.

He may be 9-14, but he took over a program that was in worst shape than any in the country following the john l smith and Petrino disaster. He almost beat Alabama and miss state this year. His 9-14 is miles ahead of iowa right now...I'm amazed by the way hisnteam is playing in his second year!

I think they would beat us right now. Geez, Joker, really. Learn the game. He took over a program that had major issues and scandal. He's now got his recruits, they are young, and they play aggressively to win...and they will kick the crap out of you when they have you on the ropes...not going into ground and pound to milk the clock and put the game on the defense.

Barta doesn't have any balls, so KF isn't going anywhere...but I'd take Bert in a heart beat over KF.
