Look at this as an opportunity; a win Saturday should pick up 3 or 4 spots. You have to be in the top 12 to qualify for an at-large, and that would be easily attainable.

Even if we win out, Wisconsin has to lose again for us to make a BCS bowl. I just don't see us beating out tOSU for an at-large berth in a BCS bowl. It's unfortunate, but this Iowa team could go 10-2 and be relagated to the Outback Bowl.

If we win out and Wiscy/MSU win out (excluding MSU losing to us) that would pretty much lock two teams in the Big 10 to the BCS. We would get the Cap One nod as tOSU would have two conference losses to our one.

I cant see Wisconsin going the rest of the year without tripping up at least once. They managed to lose to an awful Michigan team in 2008; they can do it this year as well.

We won't get a chance at an at large berth. Winning out will either get us Cap One if Wiscy doesn't lose or Rose if they do.

I agree that there is a good possibility that the Skunk-Weasels stub their toe, especially against DickRod's bunch. I was just laying out the worst case scenario for a 10-2 Iowa team.
11-1 (7-1) Mich St
11-1 (7-1) Wisky
10-2 (7-1) Iowa
10-2 (6-2) tOSU
If this is the scenario that plays out, I could easily see the Cap One pass over us to get to tOSU, leaving us in the Outback.

we shouln't have to worry about winning out, now we are back in "under the radar" mode. we will be fine. I actually think that the last game of the year for MSU, with all the pressure on them to win to stay in the hunt for an AT-LARGE (assuming the aforementioned scenario plays out heading into that final week) loses @ PSU. PSU will gain some momentum this year, watch out for them and Michigan to play spoilers.
