Basketball recruit visiting 4/6

Gabe o and hubbard both commited while I was in Vegas last year. I leave for Vegas on the 5th. pretty sure that means he will be committing somewhere between his visit and the 12th when I return.

He finished at the hoop on the drive in this clip several times. It looks like he could be a good compliment to Marble as well as provide some D- something I worry about with Oglesby.

Not worried about Ogie's D. Was this kid playing D on this clip or are we doing some stereoptyping here?:)

Saw a nice steal, some springs, good hands, and quickness. Figured since Fran's looking for D that must translate to something on that end of the court.

He is an interesting prospect. Kind of has a funky release where he "launches" it from his chest and doesn't really set his feet. I also noticed that he short-arms a lot of layups.

Launches from his chest? I didn't see that at all.

Man, this guy reminds me of Michael Redd all the way down to his release and good, but not great, athleticism.

It is pretty exciting to see he is visiting (along with those other schools expressing interest).

I really liked what I saw in those clips.

Ingram and Clemmons are slashers who might not be able to shoot much. Give me a guy like this that can shoot, and dunk. Watching all these games this season, invariably the team that shoots better from the arc wins...almost every time. We lost our best shooter in Gatens...lets get another.

Ingram and Clemmons are outstanding defenders as they were called upon to guard the other teams top player, in a interview with Clemmons coach. he stated Clemmons gave up alot on offense to play defense.
Clemmons is a very good 3 point shooter as well as a outstanding pg.
it is for this reason that he was rated the #1 pg in the state of Michigan.
forget individual rating as it appears that Fran as got a few more overlooked players again in this class in Clemmons, Ingram and Meyer, Ingram does have to work on his shooting range past the arc
the PTL should provide alot of enternainment, and i am curious as to who plays with who on each team, with some of the potential matchups that will be made, such as Meyer vs White, Woodbury vs Olaseni to show what improvements Olaseni has made vs what Woodbury brings in as a freshman, Gesell vs Clemmons this is the biggest battle i would love to see, hopefully somebody can get some video of this matchup to share as my ability to go watch is sorely limited.

We really could use someone who can hit the mid-range jump shot, something we have been lacking. Devyn and Bryce could, but not that often or accurately. This guy has a quick, natural shot that should compliment Oglesby very well, opening things up for the big boys inside even more.....

He did' appear to start his jump shot low on a few occasions, just like Shurna, who didnt let his shooting style hamper his game.....

He does seem athletic, quick, skilled and I am certain that Fran noticed something about his ability to play D and/or learn it......

:)
