basketball can be such fluke.

Make no question we played bad...

But Penn St... who can't shoot a lick hits like 7 3's in the first half...

Then then down the stretch they make nearly EVERY free throw... with a lot of guys who aren't great FT shooters.

Just so strange.

There were a number of games left on our schedule that I thought we could lose.

This wasn't the one... so now we have to make it up somewhere else.

That always happens to Iowa. I'm convinced we are cursed. Penn State who is a terrible three point shooting and free throw shooting team all of a sudden can't ******* miss.

oh it was for sure partially Iowa's doing.. but also very flukey.

That's why in many pro sports they play series in the playoffs.

I thought this was the scariest game on the remaining schedule. It just sucks bad playing crappy teams.

Yes, it always happens to Iowa because we refuse to switch to man when our zone is getting thrashed.

It's almost impossible to make it through an entire season without a bad loss and we were one game away.

This was the worst possible loss we could have had the entire season. Penn State wouldn't beat Central College.

Say, did anyone notice that PU beat Indiana by 5 a week ago?

PU is on-again and off-again. Yes, our defense let PU get a head of steam, and we didn't help ourselves behind the arc, but PU took what they wanted.

It's the 4th worst possible loss of the conference schedule. Rutgers, Minnesota, and Penn State at home would have been worse.

Wait a minute ... atmosphere, crowd involvement, fan excitement ... that has no bearing on outcome, does it?

If anything it shows how meaningless having a roaring home crowd is...

PSU doesn't have one but still beat us.

Road games are tough against BCS division opponents... it's the Big Ten Conference.
