Not news to anyone who followed the Hawks. It was very clear. I think (and hope) that Mel will walk the walk this year. Talk is cheap. It's no coincidence that we've had exceptional games when he brings energy, blocks, boards, and his kiss off the glass down on the block. Go Hawks!

He talks with some urgency. That is good. He knows his career is halfway thru. Mel needs to shine this season. Being able to have individual workouts this year helped the entire team. Some more than others. The workouts probably helped Basabe as much as anyone, with maybe the exception of our bigs, GO & Woody.

Great point and it sums up Mel and his mind set. If he gets going... watch out!

Hopefully, he's mature enough now that if he struggles he can sit down, compose himself and still have a great game.
