Ball screen

I hate to appear stupid, but could someone explain to me what a ball screen is? I keep hearing the announcers talk about Iowa running ball screens.

Screen for the guy who has the ball. Vs. a screen that a player sets for a guy off the ball, which they usually just refer to as a generic "screen".

Which usually (at least in our case) we ended playing chicken most of the time because we always drew the screen man's defender on our ball handler and ended up not making much of a difference for us to create separation for a shot. And, our ball handler rarely looked to hit our "post players rolling to the basket."
