Baby Steps

The early season schedule was much tougher than last year so the record wasn't vastly improved. I know the end of season failure. I look for the Hawks to be better next year. Mel will not be hard to replace, McCabe likewise. Marble will but with Dickerson, plus the other recruits, I don't foresee a problem. Uthoff and Jok must and will be better along with Woody and Gabe. Take a hike haters, the future looks bright!:)

I think Marble being gone might actually help the rest of the players improve. Not that Marble was holding them back, but a lot of the offense was designed around RDM. I'm not happy he is gone because he was a lot of fun to watch, but I think there's enough reason to be excited for next year

Agree, and if the team shoots better they will close out games.

Hawks should have a lot of rebounding with white, woody, uhtoff, and gabe.

I think we can get good spot up and other jump shooting with Josh O, Jok, Uhtoff, and Gesell.

White will really work on his jump shooting and left hand dribbling.

Intangibles will be Dickerson and other newcomers and can clemmons improve.

Big question will be defense after the let down the last 10 games or so

What's with this "baby steps" crap? Iowa was 10th in the country and ranked most of the year until it melted down late. Geez.. Iowa hoops isn't THAT bad..
