B1G E vs B1G W, who root4

The west division currently has a 7-6 edge on beating teams in the East. The final of the 14 games between the 2 is Indy vs Purdue today. The 2 divisions split last year with 7 a piece.

A Purdue win gives the West an 8-6 record, BUT, an Indy win gives A) the B1G conf with another bowl eligible team at 6-6, and 2) gives Iowa another team that we beat that won't end up with a losing record.

Who do we root for to argue the perception of our schedule having only beat 4 teams with winning records (or 3 if natl media since nobody wants to count Ill St)? Indy right?

So then knowing Wisky and northwestern both being ranked helps, we want them to win today over minn and Illinois? If the lesser teams win, however then they too become bowl eligible at 6-6.

With the 2 upsets and an indy win, Iowa would be left having only 5 teams they beat with losing records vs the current stat of 8 teams.

So anyhow, I Had a discussion with some yayhoo earlier....I think best to have indy, Wisky, and NW get the wins today. Thoughts?

Indiana, they are the better team and I think they deserve a bowl game. They played a tough schedule and just couldn't get over the hump. They will represent the B1G well in a bowl game, and probably beat a "better" team if they are matched up against one.

As horrible as this game is, I have to give the nod to IU. They have some legit talent in sudfeld and Howard, their great play has been obscured by horrible defense and it really isn't fair.
