Away Game Tickets Question

I went to Wisconsin this weekend and had a blast. Although I bought my tickets through stubhub and was surround by Badger fans. My question is how do I get tickets in an Iowa section? Does Iowa sell away game tickets? I tried looking on Iowa's website but couldn't find any. I'm planning on making the trip to Nebraska and want to sit in an Iowa section. Thanks and Go Hawks!

try the Iowa ticket office. I'm going there for Northwestern tickets. Best shot for an IOWA section. If they're sold out (which is likely I do stubhub and buy on the visitor sideline.

Going to Lincoln as well, I think the longer you wait this year, the cheaper those are gonna be and half the stadium could damn well be the "Iowa" section.

I attend all of Iowa's away games. For convenience, I buy from the Iowa tickets office. I get some help because I am a "silver hawk." First year we played Nebbie in Lincoln, the bigger donors got all of the ticks and I was shut out. You will always be with the Iowa fans if you buy thru our tick office. Yes, you will pay face value. But, when I travel I have to make a couple of nights of motel stays, kennel my dog, make family arrangements, so the convenience and predictability of buying ticks thru our office and paying full rate is just part of the deal. Believe me, I have spent money on a lot of dumber things in my life than football ticks.

I bet you never bought Fiesta Bowl tickets then found out we were going to the Orange Bowl.Luckly I got rid of them on stubhub.

I got tickets for Maryland last year through my cousin who got them through the local I club. We were surrounded by Iowa fans... but Iowa fans occupied about 1/4 of the stadium.

Before the season starts, season ticket holders have first option to buy away game tickets. Iowa usually gets around 4,000 tickets to each away game.
You can always call the Iowa Ticket office to see if they had any available. You could buy Wisconsin tickets in the Iowa section as late as last Tuesday from OUR ticket office.

But a cheaper option is to figure out where the away team sits. This info is always available on the home teams website. Once you know where the visiting team fans sit, you can buy your tickets off Stubhub. 9 times out of 10, it will be cheaper.

For conference games, the visiting team gets 5,000 tickets.

Just a thought....I've been to all away venues in the B1G sans Nebby and Rutgers (sat in the MD stadium for a HS playoff game in the mid 90s).....

I purposely order through Stub Hub or the opposing teams' athletic office.

Why? Better seats.

Road games are a once or twice a year endeavor for me and I want the best seats (within reason) I can get. Yeah, I'm typically surrounded by other fans, but that's cool too as we usually chat each other up about the other team, etc.

I figure I'm already laying out some decent buxx for travel, room/board, etc. I don't want to be chincy on the seats after all of that. (This is also my concert mentality...if I'm going to go through the expense and hassle of a big concert, I want good-great seats!)

Road tix for any game, including the bowl games, purchased through Iowa just plain suck....you get the bleeders and they're typically not that much less expensive. But if you want/have to sit by Hawk fans, that's your option.

Just my two cents.
