AW....

special player, one of those you look back on and remember near the top. Deserved way better than Brian and Kirk calling the plays.

If he gets drafted by the right team that will use him only in situations that favor his strengths, he will have a very fruitful NFL career.
AW is one of the most exciting Hawkeyes ever! God bless and good luck young man!

Haven't seen anyone else with his kind of moves and vision. I think he missed having Daniels and Butler while he was out. When he had a bruiser to complement him, he was even more lethal.

He made fools out of Michigan and Ohio St. and it doesn't get any better than that! Thanks for the memoires Akrum!
Don't forget PSU he had a good game against them too among others. He's a dang good player that persevered. You can hear it in KFs voice that he is really proud of kids like him that don't have the world handed to them on a platter and mature and improve and just grow up before your eyes. AW had a cross roads early on and lots of kids if not most would have quit and ran home to mommy. Not him and we all were able to be the beneficiaries of it. He can be the poster child of what an Iowa KF coached kid can be. To have him and Jewell represent this senior class and all they accomplished is pretty special. I'm not taking it for granted and to say we'll miss em is an understatement.

Tell me what AW will be doing in the pros? Every down back?
I don't think he'll be an everydown back he's not built for it. But the NFL in general isn't even looking for or using backs like that anymore. They all seem to have committees be it 2 or 3 of em they use. So it just depends where he goes and the fit he'll be. I kinda like the idea of him going to the 49ers and playing with Hyde. They could really use a player like him..... But that's just me

You're right. That's why he's only been the starter for two seasons and is one of only a handful of backs with back-to-back 1000 yard seasons at Iowa. C'mon man, this thread is about how AWESOME Wadley is, not about that other negative garbage.

Not having him return kickoffs ranks right up there with McCann over Banks and Christenson over Stanzi decisions by Ferentz
There were tons of people on the forums who were against Wadley returning kicks, worried about him being tired after returning one 80 yards or getting hurt...
