Avg. Margin of Victory

This year's Iowa team is winning by an average of just over 24 pts./game. In their two losses, their avg. 4.5 points.

I haven't gone back and looked at the last few years, but if memory serves me correct, close games (outside of last year) don't typically go well for the Hawks.

That being said, you can count on two things happening from week to week.

1. Iowa dominates and wins by 2-3 scores (getting off to a fast start offensively has proven to be a good indicator of the final verdict).

2. Iowa loses a close game. (often times resulting in exactly the opposite of scenario #1)

From the last two NW games we got off to a 10-0 start, but still failed to close the deal.

My thoughts are not a precise science. There are obviously some games you can point to that debunk my idea, but there is most definitely a trend.
