Juco PG for the class of 2014. VOTH has a VIP article on him. Don't see an offer on him or know why Iowa would recruit another juco PG but McCaffery was just in California recruiting. Don't know if anyone else knows anything more...

Link says Class of 2015. Anyways, he's got some interest from decent schools and is 6-6 so probably 6-5, good size for a PG.

Pope and Novian Cherry apparently want to play together. That could be interesting.

I have to wonder if Fran is ''going to the mattresses''....on recruiting. After falling short on top prep targets, and seeing/hearing about how Freddy has succeeded with his approach, I suspect that Fran is going ''all the above'' approach to recruiting. He has had a bit of a problem attracting top out of state, urban prep recruits...one way around that is to go transfer and juco route....shows me that Fran will not sit back and just take his fate...he wants to shape his fate.

I was thinking the same thing. Plus, I think Iowa will be the more desired school for in-state top talent, a vast majority of the time. So, Fran should know he has that in his back pocket.

When has Fran ever not looked at all available options? He brought in a juco in his first class in Cartwright. He tried to bring in another in his second class with Hubbard, it didn't work out. He brought in a consensus top 25 class of all high school kids in his third class and then added a big time transfer in Uthoff. Last year, he only had one scholarship and he looked into a few juco kids before deciding to go with Jok. This season he's signed Dickerson, tried to land Atwood and is one of the finalist for another D-1 transfer. Fran knows what he's doing, he's always been looking everywhere to find talent.

You are correct, Mike. I wonder if JH was really trying to point out how many Juco's and xfers Frand is seeking this offseason. It does appear to be quite a few and more than usual. However, at this point, I think most all Hawk hoops fans believe Fran is working his *ss off recruiting and leaving no stone unturned.

Just a friendly reminder, Fran was an economics major, he definitely knows about "opportunity cost and loss" ...
