Augusta National now has two female members.

So is this a good thing or just a case of another privileged rich person getting something that normal people can't get... and rubbing it in our face in the process?

Its a dog and pony show.

"Lets invite 2 rich powerfull women to join". Augusta board: "Sounds good!! This will make us look like we are making strides".

I don't really care what they do but its all just a bunch of fluff to improve their image.

That was my feeling as well. I mean I'm fine with it of course. I just don't see it as some huge feminist victory. Although I'm sure there will be some who try to categorize it as one.

Have to agree. But also at the end of the day a stride is a stride.

A stride!

Proving once again women are incapable of creating their own self worth and contentment unless they join a group of men who were quite satisfied.

I really don't recall too many instances where men, in general, get too worked up when and where the shoe is on the other foot. But alright dame, glad you now have been validated.

Thanks, Gomer.

Was wondering, so is this a slap in face to the gal running IBM, whom everyone questioned if the "barrier" would be broken because of her?

Good move by Augusta and for golf in general, but political posturing nonetheless.
