At the end of the day we got a win

Yep, we had far too many penalties, could not close drives with tds, special teams was bad again, and the list goes on...however is a win is a win is a win.

We all know the staff has a mile high list of things that both they and they players both need to fix, but it sure feels better getting the win and moving on. At the end of the day that is all that matters, practice time can be used to continue to get better and hopefully get guys healthier this week. Every team in the country has bad games, lets take the win and hope next week we see a much more focused effort on the field.

It's been 12 years, I don't think our inability to get the plays into the huddle on time is going to get fixed. I don't get why we've had so many procedural (sp?) penalities when we get inside the 10. False start, illegal shift, delay of game. You name it, we've done it inside the 10 this year.

A bad win sure beats a bad loss! :)

Totally correct, '20. After sitting in Kinnick and watching the final ~4 min of the wisky game unfold, I'll take this win for sure. As fugly as it was! :D

Agree with the OP.

Flame away, but I actually look upon this as an improvement.

We were flat...no doubt.
This was a down game...no doubt.
We shoulda, coulda, woulda, but we didn't.

Against Wisky, we managed to find just about every way to lose a game we should have won, at home, and we did.

Today, we managed to find just about every way to lose a game, on the road, and we didn't.

I've seen how we can play when we're on, (PSU, MSU, ISU), and this game to me was not indicative of our overall team strength...rather, we played poorly, got lucky, but won.

I'll take it.

This is the correct point of view. When the game was over, Iowa had more points. That's the only thing that matters.
