when iowa plays a team that turns down the screws on defense, iowa has no answer. plus, for whatever reason, iowa has been below average on the free throw line this year. bad combination. at least if your offense wasn't clicking, you could hit the free throw line like iowa did tonight and win the game. missing 13 free throws at home....really!!!???

I always predicted 12-6 and third place.

Never thought we'd wind up better than the two Michigan schools. And pretty obvious we won't. Much as I'd like to see Hawks competing for regular season title, I'll settle for third.

Title hopes and dreams were awesome. We are so close which makes it hurt worse that the dream us likely over. Still a TON to play for...hopefully the team can make a push.

Not realistic to think we ever had a real chance. This team is not a contender for a title and never has been. It's a NCAA tournament team though. One step at a time.

Hawks were basically out of contention after losing to Michigan and falling 2 games back. It sux Cartman's balls to be so close, and start to believe the hype, only to have reality *****-slap Hawkeye Nation back into place. I have to keep reminding myself I predicted 13-5 and 3rd place ... but it still sux.

The team and the fans spent a lot of emotion on this one. It was a turning point game. After playing like crap and losing (not getting beat by a better team), on your home floor, no less, it becomes a serious concern that the Hawks will go on a horrific losing streak. Illannoy is now very important to right the ship. Must not let this loss become 2, which will become 3 (fOSU) which will become 4 (Michigan) which could become 5 (@ PSU) ...
