ARob transferring, Rodney Coe Academic Update

Ok so A-rob's gone. Didnt see anything on Coe. Which to be honest, I am starting to agree, maybe he should go to the line backer corps. His films leave alot to be desired when it comes to being the ball carrier for Iowa.

It's interesting you say that because I too haven't found myself thinking...this kid is a no "brainier Rb"...In fact I'm not sure what his position will be as I'm not sure he is a Lber either. His lateral and short are quickness isn't what we usually see out of most Iowa lbers but what do I know?!

I see him as a DE or OLB; however, he would fit a lot better as an OLB in a system where the LBs rushed the QB more and covered receivers less. IMHO, he is a college DE and a 3-4 OLB as a pro (should he make it that far).

@ 247 pounds he has room to move around, it will be interesting to see where his weight goes, then we might get a better idea. I could see a 260 pound fb, that when it's 4th and less than one, but I just dont think he will be the #1 carrier. Could be wrong, to early to tell yet.

To Adam Robinson... I am wishing all the best for you. Hopefully you will find a good place to pick up the pieces. Thank you for all your efforts on the field, I will miss you on Gameday Saturdays at Kinnick.

"Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk" :)

Anyone really suprised ARob is transferring? Best of luck to him and hope he get's his life together. I agree with "once a Hawk, Always a Hawk" but at the same time he burned one to many bridges and despite what he did as a Hawkeye on the field, it was time for both he and the Hawks to move on in seperate directions.

Glad he's moving on. Kirk gave the kid plenty of chances but he kept screwing up, hopefully he's grown up a little and can have a successful end to his college career.

Best of luck to AROB -- he was a good player for the Hawks and at the end of the day I think he was a good kid who just made 1 too many mistakes.

He would be best served to get away from his mother - she has NOT done him any favors with her smugness and poor interviews on Arobs "behalf".

I've been calling Coker "physics" for a while now .... good to see that my man VGJR (among others) was able to rope him into the Iowa physics program.

Maybe A-Rob and Wehger can go on the road to different programs, together.
"rent-a-RB" plastered on the side of their VW Vanagon.
