Are the Colts the worst team in the NFL?

Without Manning they are terrible. They don't have a running game with our without him. The D is decimated and their wideouts are getting old.

Lets assume for a second that they finish last in W/L this year. Do they take Andrew Luck?

That's a very interesting question. I'd probably do it. There couldn't be a better situation for Luck than to hold a clipboard for a few years and learn from Manning.

I agree. Without Berry the Chiefs D is going to be spectacularly bad. Moeaki being gone also doesn't help. I'd much rather have Luck than Cassel.

If Manning doesn't play at all, I imagine the Colts could have the worst record and get the #1 pick. I would think they would shop the pick knowing that if they don't get exactly what they want, Luck would be a great "consolation prize."

I think if you have the #1 pick you have to take Luck....unless you just drafted somebody or have someone that you think/know he's the long term answer (Josh Freeman, Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers)
He's the best player out there bar none.

Could definitely be Kansas City. This game today has been a clusterluck so far. Charles going down is going to make things more awful.

The thing about Indy using a number one on Luck is that they will have a ton of money locked up into one position. Hard to build around that.

However, the rookie salary cap helps.

That being said, it might be better to pick up a Barkley or one of the later QBs.

Tennessee would beat them this year with Hasselback even with Peyton.

Quiet pick-up that might be the difference maker this year.

Manning is not only the QB he is the OC as well. To his credit, he just sticks to being the QB and the de facto OC. If he wanted to he could easily be the "assistant GM" and "assistant HC" as well.

Manning is 36 years old I need know how much longer he is going to play before I draft Luck. I can see sitting for 3 years, but for 5??? I have little doubt barring injuries Manning will play into his 40's.

The Colts get lumped into the same category as the Steelers, Patroits, Eagles, Packers as well ran organizations and they are, but as you can see no team is built around one guy more so than the Colts. Take away Manning and the Colts are just a train wreck.

I'm thinking it's the Cheifs... I think I may start to look at who the Cheifs are playing each week and see if the oposing Defenses are available to pick up for my fantasy leagues.

Indy just lost to CLEVELAND. Indy is teh worst in the NFL.
Pat will be Angerier at losing so much this year.
