That I don't think an annually top 5 paid coach with a staff that has been together for 12 years. Should lose 23 out of 30 close games. I suppose I should be happy they are close and expect nothing.
I knew this was going to be about money b4 i opened the thread.
Iowa fan is never satisfied, it seems like.
This guy has had 4 top ten finishes in the last ten years. Not many coaches can say that.
This coach coaches at iowa - lowest population state in the B10. Think of being the coach of OSU as it relates to recruiting - some years they never would really have to recruit outside its border.
The job they do year-in, year-out is very good.
Coach gets paid to win games. Coach gets paid to run a clean program and represent Iowa very well. Coach gets paid to make the University of Iowa money. I think that return on investment has been excellent, and I think you and every other iowa 'fan' who calls in after a loss to biatch about how much money Coach makes is foolish - especially those who say they'd be 'fired' if they gave that performance at work. (comparing themselves and their job to a Coach who just last year won a BCS bowl game and who came a back break away from going undefeated, and who helps generate millions of dollars for the university).
Name the last Iowa coach to have 4 top ten finishes.

Agreed about the money part. KF gets paid because he makes the university money and because he stimulates the local economy to a tune of 100 million annually. From an economic standpoint, it's totally logical to pay him handsomely.
However, 23 out of 30 is not a fluke statistic. It's a trend. I don't want KF fired. I want him to make some adjustments to improve on these and other weak areas.
