It's all about "Brands" or re "Branding" in Coach K's case.
Leadership... and the another self promoting referal to the "USA" brand and don't forget to mention our troops over seas that protect our freedom.
We all know USA BB is far superior in the world.

They just put up the Olympic record in points last game and more than doubled the record for 3 pointers. They are putting up better numbers in these Olympics than the 1992 team did against WAY BETTER competition. I'm not saying they are better or they aren't, but the people claiming they are no where near as good need to stop living in the past.

Watching the NBA / or Olamepic basketball is weird because its the opposite of Olympic ball chasing. Olympic ball chasing is boring but they are trying hard. Some people think Olamepic basketball is exciting but I doubt they are trying.

I for one am so sick of the comparison between this team to the dream team. IMO, there is no comparison simply based on the fact that all the other nations around the world actually know what the sport is at this point and the global game is light years ahead of where it was then. If we're going to base the argument strictly on the fact that the original dream team blew out every team they faced and walked away with a gold and no competition lets at least remember the fact that the competition they faced was the equivalent of the Chicago school for the deaf and blind.
