Sokol. The others remind me of vandenberg. I like his quick feet. He is the change we need at qb.

I like how the D-line has looked, the QB's have looked downfield and Rudock/ Sokol have bigger arms than I thought they did. Maybe the biggest surprise is few drops by the recievers.

Sokol and rudock most accurate, sokol and beathard have the quickest drop and setup, beathard maybe best runner but all have decent speed.

I think sokol had to grade out just a little better.

QBs were putting passes on the mark, leading receivers so they could run after catch.

I was surprise, pleasantly happy that the dee line did well against the run against starting off line.

I am more optimistic.

Malloy looked good as did canzeri, the Qbs and receivers looked more in tune in the 2nd half

I'm encouraged. I thought the QB's looked good and all have nice arms. Rudock looked the most consistent, but I did like Sokol's running ability. I won't be surprised if it ends up being Sokol because he may fit Greg Davis' system better.

A few of the receivers looked good and the Tight Ends are going to be very good. The only thing I wasn't too excited about was our running game, but I think that will get better once our lineman get more and more time together. We have to remember they've only had 14 practices.

I also think our D-line is going to surprise some people by the time the season gets here.

All in all I'm happy with what I saw.

we know what we're going to get from the #1-#2 RBs they didn't open it up too much for them

I can't remember but wasn't Sokol brought in by Davis and the other two O'keefe?

No. Sokol's first semester at Iowa was the spring of '12. He started as a student in January and O'Keefe didn't leave for the Dolphins until February. Shimonek is Davis' first QB recruit.

Actually, Sokol was here before Beathard was, even though they were both recruited and signed by O'Keefe right before he left.

Hmmm well in that case I'm interested to hear how Shimonek looks in fall camp. Even though he may not be in contention for playing time but you never know.

Count me as having watched. Overall I thought the spring game was very useful to gauge where the team is at. The team as a whole looked to be stronger and in good physical condition. The QB's appear more mobile and elusive than JVB. The fact that they ran the ball deliberately was a message in my estimation. I think there is more and better depth on defense, especially the D-Line. After watching some of the spring footage around the conference I didn't see any team that didn't have holes to fill.
