It happened closer to the perpretating team's sideline and coaches from the victim's team got there first.
In the immortal words of Mr. Miyagi, there is not such thing as bad student, only bad teacher. This kids parents and coaches should be ashamed of themselves. The coaches should be forced to resign immediately. I don't care how big high school football is in Texas. And this was in a freshman game.

What the hell. I know what would have happened when I was playing(a long time ago). 76 would have been bruised and battered by the end of the game. We would take our shots legally...but he would have been hit every play...and then some. There were several games we played where if one of our guys was cheap shotted..we were all looking out for the guy who did it...to make sure he understood the ramifications. That was beyond anything I can remember by a long shot.
That looks more like criminal behavior than football. I think the kid got a concussion. It's obviously also completely condoned and probably planned by the coaches (to take out the opposing QB). The family should take their complaint thru the proper authorities. The school district did almost nothing.

Glad I'm not the only one who is appalled. I'm not prone to violence, but have and absolutely would use it as a form of defense and or the defense of others. That kind of thuggery deserved a brawl at center field with 76 hitting the local clinic up afterwards for some stitches. Violent tendencies sometimes require violent response.

This made me sick to my stomach. I don't condone physical retaliation, but I believe that 76 needs to be banned from football for the year, be charged with assault and be required to attend counseling for his obvious anger issues,

Sometimes you take that kid and make an example. But out of his coaches. Rather than the kid get the punishment, make his piece of shit coaches run laps. But seriously, don’t let any of the kids coaches work again in Texas. Because obviously that is condoned at some level on that squad. Listening to the interview, her kid got smacked by 2-3 different players, just #76 was the most aggregious.

That school should see its season cancelled, along with the coaches facing a national ban. I hope the player(s) also lose their careers. That shit is beyond unforgiveable. Kids that can get away with that crap, or face minimal consequences, woill never stop. Coaches and parents that condone it, ditto.
Basically, they are sick. Not, "Mommy-I-don't-feel-good-I-don't-wanna-go-to-school" sick. Sick in the head kind of sick.
