Anyone else doing this?

I couldnt think of a way to make it a short thread title, so I figured I would write one that would get the most hits.

Anyhow, does anyone ever turn the radio on and listen to Dolph and Eddie while watching it on tv? Does the radio feed match up with TV feed, or is there a delay? If there is a delay, how annoying is it?

It depends on your service provider.

I believe satellite has a longer delay than cable, and HD might be an even longer delay.

Also, depending on your stereo system, you may be able to set up a delay so you can get it to match up closely with the game.

So if they're (radio) is on a 7-second delay, but I'm watching on Mediacom HD, I should be good? Or at least close to it?

Well, even on radio, it takes Dolph about 20 seconds to explain what happened in the previous play, so it kind of ends up working. Seriously, I love Dolph, but I had to listen to the start of the 2nd half last week in the car, and dude was KILLING me with his call. It was impossible to follow. Eddie was more cogent than Dolph.

I've tried it but the radio was 5-7 seconds behind the TV which irritated me quickly. This was the UNI game so maybe it has something to do with BTN but I haven't tried it since.

Have been one that has given up listening and watching the game at the same time. It bothers me when I hear Dolph tell me something a second or two before I see it. Especially if it is a no gainer for Iowa.

I will also add that if it didn't annoy me much to listen and watch at the same time I would say that I enjoy listening to Dolph when I may be on the road traveling during the game.
