Anyone ask Ferentz about the QBs not being made available to media?

After the bowl game? I didn't get to watch it and from what I skimmed through the transcript I didn't see that asked. Why on earth wouldn't it be one of the things asked when the media seemed to be so up in arms about it at the time? I think it's a fair question in that these two players were in a dog fight to start. And what's it say about your program when you won't let your leader(s) speak? It was in terrible taste and sent a bad message to both kids that he didn't trust them to handle the moment. Well dang it being the face of a program and being a leader means facing the music in good and bad times. So like Deace had said he should have had them both talk to the media and if they say something stupid then use that as a measuring stick between them too. Surely Rudock being such a smart articulate kid and CJ coming from a highly public profile of a family would be able to sit and answer some questions and not embarrass themselves or the program. I just think it's all apart of being a D1 quarterback and Ferentz took the chicken ship way out.

Of course not - they were too busy carrying their friend's water.
They need "access" to do their "jobs" (which means free basketball, free football, free booze and most importantly, FREE FOOD!) and it is too risky to anger or even annoy His Majesty

Unfortunately there is a ton of truth to what your saying.... It's why I find guys like Jon Miller so much better for reading and listening to. He's not sugar coating or sucking up to anyone. He doesn't have an employer like a news paper to keep happy. Ferentz can be pretty thin skinned and has cut media guys out multiple times over criticism he's received he didn't like. He's just a fan like us that used to have the inside access we all would have loved to have. Which gives him a different perspective on how the guys in power think the way they do.

The hypocrisy of the media to be so jumping up and down mad over that then when given the opportunity to ask him about it to not bring it up is just insane. How credible does that make them? I bet if you were to ask any of the media guys why they'll down play how big of a deal that was to begin with and say it wasn't important... I dunno blows my mind. From top to bottom this program has me frustrated..

I did enjoy the question if Kurt had any advice for Urban on how to handle their QB controversy.
