Any chance we're recruiting a punter this year?

there has to be 1 person on this planet that would be willing to come to IC and punt and who is good at it. has to be.
 
when we got off a 52 yard punt yesterday, i was amazed at how short it was. i mean, 52 yards is a good punt by any standard. but watching it live, i saw the PR drifting backwards 15 yards and i was thinking we were in the 60+ yard territory. so that means their PR was standing about 37 yards from the LOS. that's horrible.
 
Even if we do, it doesn't mean he'll play. Gersonde should be the punter now. I forget what game it was, weeks ago now, Gersonde came in and punted it 50 yards and then got benched. It makes no sense.
 
wasn't it last year where people were complaining that Iowa was offering scholarships to punters? You can look back and see my posts from those discussions it is important and I have no problem with getting scholarship special teams guys. Especially at Iowa where we tend to play many close games they an win a lot of games for you. To piggyback on a topic from the football forum but this is the type of JUCO guys we should be targeting
