Another good Coker article

Great article. And very glad Tammy Money reluctantly decided to make the trip. Her son is money for the Hawks.

One thing about Iowa that should get more attention is the coaching staff being open to players choosing challenging courses of study.

I live in SEC country and know plenty of instances where players were not allowed to deviate from majors that would "work" with their football schedule.

Hey, c'mon now. You know those guys are there for football. School is secondary.:D

Not an SEC school but I remember a few years ago future Rhodes Scholar. Myron Rolle, being publically criticized by his DC at FSU for spending too much time studying and not enough time on football. It was one of those, "cat's out of the bag" sentiments most coaches have enough sense not to state to the media. It just struck me as funny as I suspect many coaches feel that way when a "student-athlete" actually lives up to the often laughable moniker. I suspect in the south generally, and the SEC in particular, that's the case.

Just love the last line of the article about the 900 mile drive for the visit. “I slept the whole way, it wasn’t too bad for me.â€￾
