Perhaps the Cardinals dodged a bullet by not resigning Pujols. Maybe he is at least 3 years older than he says he is. According to his MLB profile he just turned 32 on the 16th. Perhaps he is actually 35 which would put him at 45 when his contract is done. Have fun with that Angels.

Nothing to see here, the governement only cares because he's making bank. They will fine him a few hundred thousand, most of which will get siphoned off to different people in the form of graft, and everything will be fine. The island just wants their cut.
