Andrew McNulty

Andrew got off to a fine start Friday night quarterbacking City High to a
48-6 drubbing of Dubuque Senior. He was 5-9 for 133 yards and three TD's and two drops.
McNulty also carried the ball three times for 82 yards, including a 47 yard
touchdown scamper.

The 6-3 signal caller has great bloodlines as his father, Jim, played WR for Iowa
and his uncle, Ted, was a first team Parade All-American QB in Bloomington,
Indiana.

Any relation to Mike McNulty?

He plays behind a VERY good HS line, directing an offense with many skill players as well.

But I agree, he has the size, speed, agility, smarts...everything needed to be a quality major Division 1 player. Not sure that numbers leave a schollie available to him at Iowa. Zook (Brewer a clone) looks too much at ratings and seems too limited in ability to gauge talent to have sense enough to recruit the kid. My bet is that unless Rhodes goes after him that McNulty will go unnoticed by even the MAC level teams, and the kid will be the next great QB at UNI...and being in a top program like UNI could be a mot more attractive than these other possible destinations.

Would love to see him walk-on for the Hawkeyes, win himself an eventual schollie. Do the same thing Blake Haluska is doing.

In the meantime, make the occasion to see junior RB Charles Rogers of Iowa City West put on a show. Another Brandon Wegher. He is likely to be one of the first recruits of Ferentz for the 2012 class.

Tigger-Any word on how Haluska is doing? I know he was one of two Walkons invited to camp but I haven't hear anything on his progress.
