and now about Wisconsin

How many points will Iowa have to score to win. I thought Iowa would have to score at least 22 or 28 points to beat Purdue because I thought Purdue would score 3TDs. I was wrong.

Wisconsin isn't great but they seem better offensively than Iowa...but everyone is better than Iowa offensively. Purdue is better than Iowa offensively
 
The line has already moved to -9.5. Iowa needs turnovers and field position to stay in this one. We really need to get Johnson more involved in the passing game too as he seems to be the only threat we have. I was begging for it during the Pedo St. game and Brian did it once Saturday for a nice gain.
 
Iowa has lost time of possession to every P5 opponent thus far this season. (All B10 games + ISU).
You can see our defense wear down near the end of the 1st half and in the 4Q, or the entire 2nd half against PSU. If this happens against Bucky it will not go well for Iowa.

Over time, ToP will also be a factor on the health and stamina of our defense in November.

Obviously, the offense is too inept to put together any significant drives. So we should at least run the play clock inside 5 seconds on every snap, run wide, time consuming plays and any other tactics we can to maximize the time of possession of our 3 and outs.
 
I’d be surprised if we eclipse 100 yards. If Deacon gets flustered by the crowd it could be bad.

But, if Hill can hit a long one early it’ll change the whole game. If we can back them off and run the ball we will win. This of course relies of Hill getting much more accurate in a week.
 
Nope! Not gonna win this weekend unless our offense miraculously develops a pulse. I would almost rather Bucky gets chewed up in the BIG title game and we take a 9-3 or 10-2 team to a potentially winnable bowl game.

Watched a bit of the Michigan MN game and would just as soon avoid playing the wolverines this year. I had envisioned Cade’s emergence when this year started, making the BIG title game with Mich a network wet dream, but that train left the station before Cade went down.

I want a shot at one of the big three with Deacon as the starter. I think we could win it. We could also lose 49-3. But we could win it and that's all that matters.
